The city-state of Singapore has decided to put it's acquisition of 12 F-35B fighter jets on hold according to a latest report by bloomberg . According to the reports by Pentagon's program office Singapore expressed it's interest for the purchase of 12 F-35B aircraft with an option of 8 more to United States an official appeal to the Foreign Military Sales (FMS) was made in late 2014 but recently no efforts have been made by the country to go ahead with the purchase. Singapore Air Force has one of the most technologically advanced aircraft in Asia. The Singapore Air Force quietly expanded it's fleet of F-15SG aircraft in a span of few years taking the number of aircraft in service to 40. Like Israel the Singaporean Air Force wants to include locally made Data Link and Radio system in the F-35 like they did for the rest of their aircraft. A small city-state which plays an important role in America's defense policy for Asia. A number of experts commented that Singapore doesn't requires an expensive platform like F-35B it can perform very well with it's current aircraft fleet,
