Due to the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and their capsizing relations everyday. The Baltic Sea fleet is left with three Project 11356 frigates without any propulsion system These lethal pocket size destroyers use combined gas and gas (COGAG) engines built by Ukrainian company called Zorya Mashproekt. Since the Russian annexation of Crimea and certain other political conflicts with neighboring Ukraine the supply has been affected. India was looking to add another three frigates of the Talwar Class ships based on Project 11356 catering to the specific requirements laid down by the Indian Navy. Recent reports emerged that India is going to buy these three frigates currently being built at Yantar Shipyard and there's a discussion going on that these hulls would be transported to India and the rest of the ships would be built in India with India still able to acquire the engines required due to It's functional relations with Ukraine. It has been confirmed that these frigates would be armed with Brahmos supersonic missiles.
