A latest report by IHS Jane's states that the Indian army has asked the ordnance factory board to supply the excalibur rifle to the Army.
Ukraine agrees to provide engine for Russian built frigates for India
According to Sputnik news India and Ukraine has reached a conclusion to get naval gas turbine engine that would be fitted in it's advanced modified Krivak class frigate. Due to Russia and Ukraine having non-functional relations has affected the Russian military complex as most of the engines in the Russian fleet and under construction were or would be using engines supplied by Ukraine. The new naval engines from Russia are delayed which are being designed and developed by NPO Saturn. According to the report India is going to make sure that a number of the systems and their sub-systems are going to be sourced from India. These frigates are an advanced version of the Talwar class frigates which are already in service. A report by Hindustan times reports that Russia has agreed to lease another submarine from the Akula class to the Indian Navy.
